
ZTE USA today announced that owners of the Axon 7 smartphone can now register to be part of an Android 8 Oreo beta program - in order to test the software update before ZTE can publicly release it.
Launched as a flagship phone back in 2016, the ZTE Axon 7 initially ran Android 6 Marshmallow, and was updated to Android 7 Nougat in 2017. According to ZTE, following "a request voiced by consumers," the Android 8 Oreo update will bring a near-stock Android experience to the Axon 7.
